Green Onyx & Nero Marquina Checkerboard Tile combines translucent Green Onyx with deep black Nero Marquina marble in a precise two-color grid. The available 4×4 and 12×12 formats refer to the dimensions of each individual square tile, not the full checkerboard pattern. Install the two colors in an alternating straight or diagonal layout to create the finished design.
Applications
- Floors: Entryways, kitchens, powder rooms, galleries, hallways, boutique retail, and hospitality interiors.
- Walls: Backsplashes, shower walls, fireplace surrounds, feature walls, and decorative panels.
- Custom layouts: Borders, thresholds, rug-effect insets, straight grids, and diagonal installations.
Product details
Pairing: Green Onyx & Nero Marquina
Individual tile sizes: 4×4 and 12×12
Materials: Onyx, Marble
Finish: Polished
Pattern: Installer-created checkerboard using alternating loose square tiles
Use: Interior floors and walls
Finish guidance: This pairing is polished only because it contains onyx. Use extra care on floors and confirm slip resistance for the intended setting.
Installation and care
Dry-lay both colors to balance veining, translucency, and shade variation. Use white non-staining thin-set for light marble and onyx, seal before and after grouting as appropriate, and use unsanded grout where required. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Not intended for exterior or submerged installations.
